Since our launch in November 2023, our mission has been to provide medical students with a comprehensive, engaging, and personalized learning experience. Thanks to your support, we’ve expanded significantly beyond our initial offering of anatomy content, adding new sections on physiology, pathology, and internal medicine.
Today, we’re excited to share the next step in our journey: introducing a monetization model that will enable us to continue enhancing MedBrane for you.
Why We’re Introducing Monetization
Our goal has always been to make MedBrane the most useful and supportive tool for medical students worldwide. To achieve this, we need to invest in:

Expanding our question banks: We’re working on refining new QBanks to better align with the USMLE question style, including comprehensive clinical questions with patient histories, lab findings, and more.

Developing new features: One exciting feature in the pipeline is the ability to ask medical doctors directly through the app for clarification on complex topics.

Maintaining and improving the app: Continuous updates and improvements are essential to provide you with the best possible user experience.
Introducing a monetization model will provide the necessary resources to support these initiatives and ensure MedBrane remains a valuable tool throughout your medical education.
What This Means for You
We understand the importance of accessibility, so we’re adopting a freemium model:

Free Access: Core features, including access to a substantial portion of our question banks and community forums, will remain free.

Premium Features: Full QBanks with detailed explanations, along with new advanced options such as direct consultations with medical professionals and specialized content, will be available through a subscription. We’ve set a symbolic monthly subscription price of just $7.99 (excluding VAT), making it accessible while providing support for future enhancements.
This approach allows us to continue offering valuable resources to all users while providing enhanced features for those who choose to support our mission further.
