More About the Medical School
The admissions process at Noorda-COM involves several steps. First, applicants must submit a primary application through AACOMAS, followed by a secondary application, which includes a professional headshot, a video or essay, and a $60 fee.
Applicants must provide three letters of recommendation: from a healthcare professional (preferably an osteopathic physician), an academic reference, and a personal character reference. A formal interview, either virtual or in-person, is required for selected applicants.
Noorda-COM looks for candidates with a solid foundation in biological and physical sciences, requiring a bachelor’s degree, a preferred cumulative and science GPA of 3.0, and an MCAT score of at least 495. Prerequisite courses, such as biology, chemistry, and physics, must be completed with a grade of C or higher.
Non-academic achievements, including leadership, volunteer work, and healthcare experience, are also valued. Noorda-COM uses a rolling admissions process, reviewing applications as they are submitted, with deadlines in April and May for primary and secondary applications, respectively.
