More About the Medical School
MSM’s admissions process is holistic, seeking applicants who demonstrate academic competence, leadership, and a commitment to service. To apply, candidates must complete a bachelor’s degree and required prerequisite courses in biology, chemistry, and physics. The MCAT is mandatory, and applications are processed through AMCAS. A secondary application, which includes additional essays, is also required.
The admissions committee reviews applicants based on academic achievements, personal statements, extracurricular activities, and letters of recommendation. Interviews are conducted by invitation in a traditional format. For the 2025 admissions cycle, MSM strongly recommends taking the AAMC PREview exam to assess professional readiness.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with deadlines typically in December for AMCAS and a few weeks later for secondary applications. MSM values diversity and strives to enroll students who are motivated to serve in primary care or underserved areas.
